In this post you will find out which graphics card Black Myth: Wukong runs in Full HD, QHD and 4K with 60 FPS. You will also find general tips in this post that are useful when purchasing a new graphics card.

Graphics card Full HD (1920x1080)

With relatively old graphics cards, such as the GTX 1080, Black Myth: Wukong can unfortunately only be played with low graphics settings, but at least with around 60 FPS. If you want good in-game graphics, you need at least an RTX 4060 Ti for smooth gaming in Full HD, but preferably an even better model. Graphics cards with 6 GB VRAM are the minimum requirement, even in the 'Low' preset. If you want to play Black Myth: Wukong in Full HD with higher details, 8 GB VRAM is sufficient for the game. Nevertheless, if you buy a new one, you should at least go for models with more VRAM.

Graphics card QHD (2560x1440)

In QHD, Black Myth: Wukong, as in Full HD, runs best on graphics cards of the previous or current generation from Nvidia and AMD. With the RTX 3080 and RX 6800, gaming is possible smoothly in low details. With an RTX 3090 or RX 6800 XT and better models, you can then play smoothly up to high details. If you want to play in maximum details, you should go for an Nvidia RTX 4080 or an AMD Radeon RX 7900 XT. With DLSS, you can still play in high details even with poorer graphics cards like the RTX 4070.

Graphics cards 4K (3840x2160)

4K gaming with maximum details is only possible in Black Myth: Wukong with native 4K resolution on the RTX 4090 from Nvidia. For all other models, you have to adjust the details of the preset manually. With DLSS, it is possible to play at 4K with poorer graphics cards even in low to medium presets. The RTX 4080 with DLSS is also suitable for maximum details.

Cinematic Preset

Smooth native gaming in the Cinematic preset is only possible in QHD, even on an RTX 4090. To play smoothly in the Cinematic preset, you should at least turn on Frame Generation or DLSS on Nvidia.

With AMD, you can also achieve a significant increase in frames per second in the Cinematic preset with FSR and Frame Generation.

DLSS and Frame Generation

With DLSS and Frame Generation from Nvidia, you can achieve around 50-80% more FPS in Black Myth: Wukong, which pushes the graphics cards up in the presets. In general, however, I'm more interested in the performance in native resolution, as DLSS usually works well, but can also lead to graphically less attractive effects.

Compare graphics cards

If your graphics card is not listed in this post, you can compare your graphics card with the graphics cards in this post on the GFXBench website. The best benchmark for comparison is Aztec Ruins High Tier . You should choose Windows - DirectX as your operating system.
