In Formula 1, engine power is a deciding factor for victory or defeat. But not all teams develop their own engines - the question remains: Who drives which engine?

Not all Formula 1 teams manufacture their own engines. Many of the smaller teams purchase engines from larger factory teams. Below is a list that gives you an overview of all the engines and teams in the F1 26 DLC:

Major Changes in F1 26

In 2026, Audi will enter Formula 1 as a works team and the second German team through the purchase of Kick Sauber. This means that Audi will develop its own engine.

Starting this season, Red Bull will develop its engine together with Ford, while the manufacturer Honda will now supply Aston Martin with engines.

In 2026, we will no longer see Renault engines in Formula 1. Alpine justified the move by stating that the Renault engine was not competitive. From now on, Alpine will be a customer team of Mercedes. This is the same engine that world champion Lando Norris drove in his car.

Furthermore, Formula 1 will get an eleventh team: The Cadillac Formula 1 Team will make its debut in 2026. Cadillac will initially purchase its engine from Ferrari. Cadillac is currently postponing the introduction of its own in-house developed engine until 2029.

Which is the Best Engine in EA's F1 26 DLC?

In the My Team career mode, you need to select an engine for your car. However, it's currently impossible to draw any conclusions about the actual engine power of the teams.

Testing of the new cars will take place between the end of January and mid-February 2026. These tests will allow for initial assessments of team strengths, but the final results will only be known at the season opener in Melbourne.
