In this article you'll learn how headgear works in the Progression 2.0 update and what tiers of it are available.

Function

Even at the beginning, the Head Gear does not offer you any usefulness of its own.

It just ensures that one of your friends in the truck can see through the built-in camera of this Head Gear and see what's happening.

He is also able to see ghost orbs through this camera.

The other levels also offer you advantages, such as a built-in flashlight or even a built-in night vision device, which you can activate and deactivate yourself.

Tier 1

The first tier of Head Gear, as mentioned, is for your party members only, allowing them to see what you see in the truck.

Image quality is average, and when the ghost is running an event or hunt, the camera inside will have moderate interference.

To activate the camera, you have to long-press T until you hear a loud beep and a red light on the Head Gear lights up.

Despite being marked as Electronic, the spirit cannot perceive you at this level simply because you have it on.

The Head Gear takes up the head slot, meaning you don't have to use any of your 3 gear slots for it!

Tier 2

The second tier of Head Gear replaces the previously installed camera with an LED flashlight.

This essentially saves you the flashlight equipment slot and allows you to take 3 pieces of equipment with you to identify the ghost instead of just 2 if you like playing with a flashlight.

The intensity of the flashlight is low and the beam of light is narrow, so this flashlight can be compared to the 1st tier of the equipment flashlight.

This can still save a lot of time if you can just take one more item with you instead.

Tier 3

The third tier of the Head Gear has it all.

Here again, the previously installed flashlight is replaced.

But this time with a night vision attachment.

This enables you to see your entire field of vision in a green light, which is typical for night vision.

This feature is a real game changer.

However, this tier of headgear is also not available for purchase until level 82, which means you'll have to farm quite a bit of level before you can enjoy this night vision goggle.
