In this article you will learn how the Ultraviolet, or UV for short, works in the Progression 2.0 update and what tiers of it are available.

Ultraviolet - UV Function

Fingerprints have been one of the most reliable pieces of evidence one could get.

However, these had some problems to be found - especially in open spaces without many interaction possibilities.

Therefore, the fingerprints were adjusted and renamed to ultraviolet or UV for short.

As mentioned, getting the proof in open rooms or areas when the ghost wasn't interacting with doors was very frustrating.

To avoid the problem, the ghost now only shows footprints after stepping in a salt pile when it has the ultraviolet proof!

Ghosts that don't have the proof will continue to step into the salt pile (except for the ghost, of course) giving you the opportunity for a photo, but will not leave any footprints afterwards.

In addition, the behavior of the photos of fingerprints and footprints has been adjusted, since these were only visible with the ultraviolet light and then immediately disappeared again.

Now, with the ultraviolet light, you can "charge" these prints by illuminating them.

When you put the UV light away again, they glow for a while (depending on how long they were charged) and you can take a picture of them.

Tier 1

Tier 1 is the glow stick that you already know.

You can use this to wake it up, giving you a more intense light for about a minute before dimming permanently - though you can use it over and over again to give it a little extra power.

Tier 2

Tier 2 is the well-known UV flashlight, which has a brighter but narrower beam with a longer range.

The UV charging time of this flashlight is also significantly faster than with the glow stick.

Tier 3

Tier 3 is the UV Light Pro.

A very powerful flashlight with an even brighter and wider beam of light and an even faster UV charging time.

This makes it perfect for quickly locating large-scale ultraviolet evidence.
