LPL System

The League of Legends Pro League features 17 teams that compete against every other team in a best-of-3 once per split.

A double elimination system (best-of-5) is being played in the playoffs of the spring split. The winner of the spring split will represent the LPL at the mid-season invitational event (MSI). The loser of the final qualifies for the MSI Play-In stage.

In summer split, the number of championship points distributed increases, and the winner automatically qualifies for the World Championship. The other seeds for Worlds result from the ranking of the other teams according to championship points.
