The best builds I’ve tested myself can be found here in a short summary about the different characters in Diablo 4.

Summoner has always been my absolute favorite in every Hack & Slay.

In Diablo 4 I find that it is probably the most enjoyable and chilled build.

You summon your minions, buff them passively and automatically re-summon fallen minions and they do most of the work for you.

It is never boring and you are always actively involved.

Skeleton Warrior

The Reapers have a chance of creating a corpse with their attacks, so you always have enough corpses to buff your minions, even in boss fights.

Skeleton Mage

The Cold Mages generate Essence for you through their attacks, allowing you to use the Bone Spear more often.

Golem

The Bone Golem can taunt your opponents, making them focus on him. With the selection, you give him more HP and a higher proportion of your thorns.

Basic Skills

The base skill is irrelevant as you won't be using it.

Core Skills

Source: https://d4builds.gg/build-planner/

You always use the Bone Spear core skill so that the monsters suffer the Vulnerable debuff and your minions cause more damage as a result.

Hewed Flesh gives you a chance to spawn a corpse on hit.

Corpse & Macabre Skills

Blood Mist gives you a skill that allows you to become unstoppable and break out of a stun.

By Skeleton Warrior Mastery, your skeleton warriors will deal more damage and gain more HP.

Blood Harvest generates Essence when you consume a corpse, which you should do consistently with your Raise Skeleton skill, as it will buff and heal your skeletons.

Thus, empowering death will increase your things done when you consume a corpse.

Curse Skills

Source: https://d4builds.gg/build-planner/

You use the curse skill Decrepify whenever new monsters encounter you.

These are slowed down and deal less damage.

Also, Decrepify's passive skills will stun the monsters with a chance on hit and reduce your cooldowns.

Skeltal Mage Mastery increases damage and HP of your Skeleton Mages.

Corpse & Macabre Skills

Here you only use the passive skill Necrotic Carapace to gain Steeling when you or your minions form corpses.

This will mostly happen through your Skeleton Reapers.

Ultimate Skills

Source: https://d4builds.gg/build-planner/

Most skill points flow into the ultimate skills.

Army of the Dead deals good damage, has a chance to leave corpses, and resurrects your Skeleton Warriors and Mages.

Very useful in boss fights or when your minions have been severely depleted.

Golem Mastery increases damage and HP of your Golem.

Inspiring Leader increases your minions' attack speed if you have the healthy status for a few seconds.

You are healthy when you have over 80% of your maximum HP.

Hellbent Commander increases all damage done by your minions when you are near them.

Bonded in Essence causes the Skeleton Priest of your Raise Skeleton skill to heal all your skeletons by a considerable high percentage every few seconds.

Death's Defense prevents your minions from losing a large percentage of their HP at once with one attack.

Key Passives

Kalan's Edict is your Key Passive.

If you don't take damage, your minions gain increased attack speed.

This bonus is doubled if you have at least 7 minions.
